youth wellbeing and yoga teaching
for ages 11-25
Harriet's specialism is teaching yoga and mental health strategies, with young people ages 11 - 25.
Harriet has 16 years experience in the mental health field, with 4 years specifically developing and delivering curricula for high school students and youth. Harriet's focus is in delivering practical skills to young people experiencing disadvantage, using evidence-based, trauma-informed yoga and mental health techniques. Teaching addresses stress and anxiety, sleeping better, mindfulness, building healthy habits, body image, and boosting mood in a healthy way. Harriet teaches young people classes and workshops at high schools, youth centres, community centres, yoga studios, and on excursions. Harriet also works as a Youth Mentor in schools and privately, to support young people in achieving their goals. Young people report using the techniques taught in class in emotionally charged relationships with others to help resolve conflict, and to sleep better, feel calmer, have fun, and improve concentration. Teachers report less bullying, improved focus in class, less angry outbursts at school, a more peaceful environment for all, and more. See testimonials for more.
