This workshop is based on a study of current research in the field of stress and anxiety.
The aim is to improve our understanding of stress and anxiety and its role in protecting us, to help us identify when stress does not serve us well. It provides practical strategies to free us from the limiting effects of stress. The workshops discuss the theory underlying changing habits, and have a practical focus, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, mindfulness and much more.
Please bring: yourself! A water bottle. Snacks if you need them.

- Introduces the role of the nervous system and how the brain can change with practice.
- Includes a brief introduction to mindfulness.
- Yin yoga: slow, relaxing, deep stretches: no flexibility or experience required
- Includes practice of breathing techniques, physical movement and different types of meditation.
- Time for optional sharing of personal experience in the group setting.
- Includes examples, worksheets with exercises to take-home, and optional homework. Optional follow-up phone call included.
